Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary

Hurst Arthur is Savi Group's Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary. He is responsible for all legal affairs of the company, including export control, ethics and business conduct, and general corporate compliance. Arthur joined Savi in 2004 and was instrumental in the acquisition of the company by Lockheed Martin in 2006.

Prior to joining Savi, Arthur was General Counsel - North America for Hitachi Data Systems (HDS), an enterprise-class data storage provider and subsidiary of Hitachi, Ltd. of Japan. While at HDS, Arthur supported the North America senior management teams, in addition to supporting North America sales, Global Channels, Global Accounts and Global Marketing. He also managed all major litigation.

Prior to HDS, Arthur worked in the logistics industry as Associate General Counsel for transportation provider Emery Worldwide, a subsidiary of Consolidated Freightways (now Con-way Inc.), supporting the company's air freight, logistics, ocean freight and customs brokerage business units. He was instrumental in negotiating major supply chain outsourcing deals with the U.S. Postal Service (at the time, the largest contract ever awarded by the USPS) and General Motors. Prior to Emery, Arthur was in private litigation practice.

Arthur holds a Bachelors degree from the University of California at Davis in Managerial Economics and a J.D. degree from Santa Clara University.
