Management Team

Bill Clark – President & CEO

Bill Clark joined Savi Technology in August, 2010, and has served as CEO since January, 2011. He is responsible for driving the Savi Technology strategy, bringing our operational analytics business model to market, and leading the organization to overall success and long-term profitability and growth. Clark brings over 25 years of sales and marketing leadership in global technology. He has successfully built early stage venture backed firms while also helping run large enterprises in the technology industry.

Prior to Savi Technology, Clark was EVP and CMO at Deltek, an enterprise software company serving most major federal defense contractors. He led the positioning of Deltek as a leader in enterprise software that led to a successful IPO in 2007.

Prior to that Bill Clark led product marketing at Novell, a large infrastructure software company and he helped establish its first product marketing function and clear technology differentiation platform.

Bill Clark has a long history of success leading up to his more recent experience, including serving as EVP and CMO of Mantas. There he helped drive dramatic growth and put the company on the map from an awareness standpoint. He also led Worldwide Marketing at Bang Networks and was SVP of Worldwide Marketing and Business Development at Hyperion- a global leader in enterprise business software. In his early career Clark was VP of Corporate Technology at JP Morgan bank and held several positions of increasing responsibility in sales, marketing and management at IBM.

Bill Goss – Senior Vice President, Global Sales, Services & Support

Bill Goss is responsible for driving professional services and customer support strategy. He also manages all sales and partnership efforts at Savi Technology. Goss has over 20 years of experience in enterprise and solutions sales, professional services, business development and solution/software development and implementation. He has overseen the development of partnerships and alliances with many Fortune 500 companies in the transportation, telecommunications, aerospace, and with the US Federal Government.

Bill Goss was previously Corporate VP at Alion Science and Technology where he led the identification, pursuit and capture of major contracts within the DoD. Prior to that he served as VP of Sales and Services at major systems integrators such as Technology Integration Group and MTI- an international storage and networking company; where he led solution sales and practice teams.

Goss began his executive career as VP of Professional Services and Strategic Accounts at Baan where he was responsible for solution implementation and support for all A&D, Telecommunications and Automotive customers. He was also responsible for developing and maintaining partnerships with PwC, IBM and KPMG. Prior to Baan, he was also CEO of thinkXML, a software start-up, where he negotiated a sale of the company well in excess of the investment.

Earlier in his career, Goss was a senior manager at Oracle and Lockheed Martin. He also served in the US Navy as a Naval Intelligence Officer.

Todd Souza – Chief Financial Officer

Todd Souza is responsible for setting and leading the financial strategy of Savi Technology.

Souza comes from Lockheed Martin with more than 20 years as a financial executive. He specialized in building new businesses with Lockheed Martin that included the Flight Training business, and the establishment of Ascent Flight Training JV in the UK. This was in support of the MFTS (Military Flight Training System) program, a $6B program over its 25 year life. Souza has also helped generate over $2,5B of backlog for Lockheed Martin.

Souza has a business degree from Stetson University with several executive education certifications from Lockheed Martin.

Chris Oppelt – Vice President, Human Resources

Chris Oppelt is responsible for the strategic direction of human resources programs for all Savi Technology people and facilities.

Prior to joining Savi Technology, Oppelt was a Lockheed Martin HR Business Partner for 11 years. In his various HR Business Partner roles, he delivered strong HR strategies and solutions to help drive business performance. His specific responsibilities included all aspects of HR and organizational development. Oppelt has an MBA from the University of Central Florida and is SPHR (Senior Professional Human Resources) certified.

 

Phil Juliano – Vice President, Marketing

Juliano joined Savi Technology in October 2011 and is responsible for all brand, awareness, demand creation programs, and PR and analyst out-reach.

Phil Juliano brings over 25 years of marketing experience. Prior to Savi Technology he led global marketing for Novell, a leading infrastructure software company where he led the brand and go-to-market transformation of the company. Before that he was SVP and CMO of Symbol Technologies, a global mobile computing leader, now part of Motorola. Prior to Symbol Technologies, Juliano was VP Marketing for the IBM Global Services Group and also the IBM Software Group.

Phil Juliano’s early career was spent in New York City in the advertising business working for consumer packaged goods clients that included Procter & Gamble and the Campbell Soup Company.

Jim Costello – Senior Counsel

Costello has overall responsibility for the legal affairs of the company. Prior to joining Savi Technology, he was Division Counsel for Applied Global Services, the services division of Applied Materials.

Jim Costello has been associated with three large international law firms, and also has served as in-house counsel at three leading technology companies. Costello has a BA from Rutgers University, an MBA from Baruch College and a JD from Fordham University School of Law. He is licensed to practice law in California, New York and New Jersey and is registered in-house counsel in Virginia.
 

Dan Knapp – Vice President, Hardware Operations

Knapp is responsible for building and running a responsive technology organization that delivers results by aligning technology programs with business goals. He has organized and implemented product life cycle policies to enhance and optimize product design and manufacturing processes.

Prior to joining Savi Technology, Dan Knapp was Director of Operations for Aerielle Corp and Lightpoint Technology. At Aerielle he managed high-volume global operations that included procurement, engineering, program management, and support. While at Lightpoint, Knapp managed both domestic and European operations as well as their successful licensing business.

Dan Knapp was also a founding team member of ONI Systems, and OEM of optical communications solutions. When ONI was acquired by Cienna Corp in 2002, he was part of the acquisition implementation team representing ONI’s Operations department.

Rosemary Johnston – Senior Director-Business Operations, Systems & Governance

Johnston oversees operations, sales operations, systems support, and governance assistance for Savi Technology. She supervises a team of sales operations, information systems, business systems, and customer relationship managers. Rosemary Johnston has been with Savi Technology since 2006 and has held a variety of positions in services and support, business process improvement, business integration and transition, and information technology systems.

Prior to joining Savi Technology, Johnston was business unit director at Dynamics Research Corporation, a consulting firm that provides technology management services to the federal government, including the Department of Homeland Security.

Rosemary Johnston served in the US Air Force for 23 years and chaired multiple advisory boards during her time there, including the Air Force Supply Chiefs Advisory Board. She has a BS from Troy State University and an MBA from University of Phoenix.
