Vikram 'Vic' Verma
CEO, Savi Group
Vikram Verma is Chief Executive Officer of the Savi Group, a Lockheed Martin technology and information services company that provides real-time supply chain management and security solutions for government and commercial markets worldwide.
Verma was a co-founder of Savi Technology, Inc., which was acquired by Lockheed Martin in 2006 and now operates as a wholly owned subsidiary. He previously held the positions of Vice President of Engineering and Chief Operating Officer of Savi Technology, before becoming President and CEO in 1997, and Chairman of the Board in 2005.
As VP of Engineering, he helped design and develop Savi’s product offerings, and as COO, he helped negotiate the acquisition of Savi by Texas Instruments in 1995. He led the management buyout of Savi from Raytheon in May 1999 and in 2006 he led the acquisition of Savi by Lockheed Martin.
Verma holds eight patents, and early in his career his Direction Finding/Tag product was recognized as the “Most Innovative Technology Developed by a Small Business” by the White House Office of Science and Technology. He has won numerous industry accolades, including being named as one of 40 “Technology Innovators” by the World Economic Forum. In 1999, he was the recipient of the “Distinguished Achievement Award” by the Florida Institute of Technology, where he earned his undergraduate degree and now sits on its Board of Trustees. He also is on the Board of Governors of the National Center to the Asia Pacific Economic Coalition (APEC).
Verma holds a B.S. degree from the Florida Institute of Technology, an M.S.E. degree from the University of Michigan, and the graduate Engineers degree in electrical engineering from Stanford University. He also completed all the necessary steps for his Ph.D. candidacy in electrical engineering from Stanford University before leaving to join Savi Technology.
Savi Group is a Lockheed Martin technology and information services company that provides real-time supply chain management and security solutions for government and commercial markets worldwide. Savi Group oversees the Savi Technology, Savi Logistics Systems, Savi Performance Logistics and Savi Networks lines of business, and co-develops solutions with other Lockheed Martin divisions on large, complex government projects for In-Transit Visibility (ITV), cargo security and asset management.
