Through Savi SmartChain® SiteManager, Savi complements EPC hardware with a centralized system management offering for all hardware elements, whether in a site, enterprise or global implementation.
- Middleware delivers information to all constituents in a uniform and timely manner
EPC achieves this through the use of Savant, a software system developed expressly for the EPC network. Savi provides a more robust version of Savant than specified by EPCGlobal in its SmartChain platform. At this layer, SmartChain supports native EPC systems like ONS and PML Servers with full emulation that can operate in either a standalone mode or as an integrated part of a comprehensive system.
