SmartChain^® Asset Management System

Savi's SmartChain Asset Management System (AMS) enables customers track asset location and status, search for and find assets, analyze historical information to identify and eliminate bottlenecks, understand asset utilization, perform asset inventories, and manage asset lifecycles and losses.

SmartChain AMS also manages the allocation of assets against orders and demand and through the analysis of current asset inventory in each location, forecasts based on historic trends and current orders, recognizes imbalances in asset inventory between locations and recommends asset relocation to meet demand and improve customer service. By improving lifecycle management and increasing operational efficiency, companies can reduce operational costs and by increasing the utilization of assets, they can reduce asset inventories. Savi's SmartChain Transportation Security System (TSS) is a rule-driven, event and process management software application that provides real-time asset tracking and security monitoring. SmartChain TSS produces state and exception reporting that is essential to insure that containers and cargo have not been tampered with. SmartChain TSS is designed for completeness, incorporating data from a variety of automatic identification technologies such as RFID, electronic seals, biometrics, sensors, and global position system tracking systems. In conjunction with the capabilities of the SmartChain Enterprise Platform, customers can monitor the actual movements of their assets and shipments, as read through the RFID network, against their previously planned movement. Alerts can be used to notify security, operational managers, and appropriate law enforcement agencies if there is a breach in security protocol. By increasing monitoring and visibility of goods flowing through the supply chain, SmartChain TSS allows companies to mitigate security dangers such as the physical and financial exposure to risks from terrorism and hazardous materials handling.
