Savi SmartChain Fundamentals
This one-day Instructor-led course covers routine administration of the SmartChain 6.0 AMA server. It is intended for anyone who will perform the initial configuration on an out-of-box installation of SmartChain, including SmartChain Administrators and Field Engineers. Students participate in guided exercises using live software to create a new company, define assets and asset types, then create sites, zones, users, and permissions. Before enrolling in this introductory course students should be familiar with basic RFID terminology and a have general knowledge of Savi's products. Savi Hardware Fundamentals is a recommended prerequisite.
This course is also offered as self-paced, web-based training.
Savi SmartChain Installation
This two-hour web-based course teaches the procedures for installing SmartChain 6.0 Server in a basic, all-in-one configuration. Animated lectures provide an overview of typical server deployments and describe installation procedures in detail. Students practice these procedures in guided exercise using a simulated environment. Topics include the various types of installation, pre-installation planning, initial configuration, and licensing. Before enrolling in this intermediate-level course students should complete Savi Solutions and SmartChain Fundamentals.
Savi SmartChain Solutions
This four-day, Instructor-led course is intended for technical staff responsible for configuring and troubleshooting the SmartChain Server. The course combines lecture and lab exercises based on real world scenarios involving EZ Sensor, passive RFID readers, CMA, and barcodes. Before enrolling in this intermediate-level course students should have at least one year's field experience using Site Manager and the SmartChain Server. Savi SmartChain Fundamentals and Savi SmartChain Site Manager are recommended prerequisites.
Field Service Engineer
This four-day Instructor-led course is a hands-on training session targeted at individuals in the role of a Field Service Engineer. The course provides instructions for performing installation and maintenance of Savi RFID Systems, and instructions for installation and use of Savi SmartChain middleware products, including process and procedures for performing site surveys. Savi Hardware Fundamentals is a recommended prerequisite.
Savi Hardware Fundamentals
This two-hour web-based course is intended for anyone who will work with RFID devices or simply wants to know more about Savi's products. In addition to a brief review of RFID terms, it provides an overview of Savi's three fundamental hardware products: readers, signposts, and tags. This introductory-level course is a prerequisite for many of the other technical courses offered by Savi Education.
Savi SmartChain Site Manager
This two-hour web-based course is intended for individuals responsible for managing the Savi RFID network at a local site. It provides an overview of Site Manager and includes step-by-step instructions for installing Site Manager and performing routine tasks using the Site Manager Console. Savi Hardware Fundamentals is a recommended prerequisite.
Savi Solutions Fundamentals
This 4-hour distance -learning course is intended for all Savi employees and partners. It provides an overview of RFID terminology, Savi hardware and software products, and case studies of business solutions based on RFID. .
