Savi Technology Accelerates International Growth With Promotion Of Eric Gill To VP International Sales

LONDON, UK (March 4, 2014) – Savi Technology, the leading provider of sensor analytic solutions for high value assets, today announced the promotion of Eric Gill to Vice President, International Sales.  Gill will be responsible for developing the Savi Technology customer base and partner ecosystem in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) and Asia-Pacific (APAC), further expanding Savi’s global reach.
According to reports from Cisco and International Data Corp (IDC) sensors and connected devices currently generate more than 30% of the estimated 2.3 trillion GB of data collected worldwide every day, which is expected to surpass 50 trillion GB by the year 2020.  Advances in sensor technology and reductions in both size and cost have accelerated the use of sensors in business, further increasing the overall percentage of data collected from connected devices. Many leading organizations are using Savi’s Sensor Analytics platform to gain deeper operational insights from the enormous and growing amount of data produced by these connected devices, allowing them to make faster and better decisions.

“We are very excited for Eric to bring his drive, energy and expertise to this expanded role,” said Bill Clark, President & CEO of Savi Technology. “With the worldwide growth of connected devices exceeding 40 billion in the next several years, businesses across all markets and geographies will need to transform that specialized data into actionable insight.  Eric’s stellar work with global organizations such as NATO and SGS will help Savi capitalize on this demand.”

Gill joined Savi in 2003 and has led a wide range of strategic activities as Director of International Programs.  During the last two years he has managed Savi’s EMEA business and was responsible for the successful strategic alliance with SGS and subsequent sales and implementation of Savi Tracking for customs authorities in multiple African countries.

Organizations worldwide are eager to leverage the tremendous benefits of sensor analytics, yet are struggling to make sense of the myriad of options be it sensor type, communications protocol, and many others,” said Gill.  “I look forward to engaging with our valued international customer base to help them improve their operational insight and to leading Savi’s world-class international team as we expand our footprint.”
