To withstand harsh, isolated environments, the ST-621 features a rugged form factor design, and has a replaceable battery with a typical life of five years.

Active RFID and ISO 18000-7
Active RFID technology revolutionized the identification, monitoring and tracking of valuable assets and shipments. Savi helped drive the creation of the active RFID ISO 18000-7 standard to support active RFID interoperability worldwide. ISO 18000-7 has been adopted worldwide by commercial enterprises and defense organizations. Savi products such as the ST-621 are built to support the ISO 18000-7 protocol and drive effective and accurate real-time tracking. The ST-621 also has 400 feet (122 m) of range for wake-up, collections and RF read/write. The ST-621 can be installed permanently via fixed hardware, or temporarily using pressure sensitive tape (PST) or a magnetic mounting bracket equipped with high-strength rare earth magnets.
Benefits of Low Frequency (LF) Technology
Savi products support LF technology, which allows users to locate assets with greater precision. Savi’s LF solution does this by focusing the tag wakeup field so that tags are not read multiple times, thus conserving tag battery life. Savi’s LF Signposts can capture assets passing through a chokepoint at speeds up to 60 mph (97 kph). Robust and scalable, Savi’s LF solution tracks assets and items throughout the supply chain effectively and automatically.
